Baldwin County Mediation Attorneys

Mediation is a process to help solve disputes without going to court.  Mediation is voluntary and confidential.  A neutral third-party mediator (sometimes called a facilitator) can help you and the other(s) involved in the dispute work out a solution to the problem.   Brackin, McGriff & Johnson provides professionally trained mediators to help you work through your situation.

Mediation can be applied to most areas of civil law, including real estate disputes, business law, family law, and probate matters.

A mediator does not have the authority to make the parties agree to certain terms or conditions.  The mediator focuses on getting the parties to evaluate their own goals and options and helps guide them to find a mutually satisfactory solution.

Mediation can be a less stressful solution than taking a problem to court.  It also reduces the likelihood that one of the parties will insist on an extreme position.

Because the mediator cannot force the involved parties to accept certain terms or condition, the situation can be less stressful than going to court; however, if a solution cannot be agreed upon, either party may sue and the case may proceed to court.

If you find yourself in a situation where mediation may help, call Brackin, McGriff & Johnson today at (251) 943-4040. We are here to help you.
